AVIATOR Watches and 1&1 focuses on green energy
As the first German web host 1&1 covers published on 1 December 2007 only electricity from renewable sources like wind, hydro and solar power as part of the international certification scheme for renewable energy, RECS. In addition to the high-performance data centers are also two office buildings in Karlsruhe, where about 1,500 employees work, is supplied with electricity from renewable energy sources. The “green power” refers 1&1 of the Stadtwerke Karlsruhe.
We use energy efficiently

The software can help to save power: The operating system has developed web hosting 1&1 based on a so-called Linux distribution itself, so that can be managed on a computer data of up to 10,000 customers. This saves resources.
