The Riedenschild GmbH is still a very young company and is still a know-how of nearly 50 years of watchmaking craft back. The reason for this is the parent company Eichmüller in Munich. Founded in 1950 Uhrenmanufaktur produced until the advent of digital watches in the 80-zigern own mechanical watches and clocks. Once the demand for quartz watches almost replacing the mechanical and the decline for some German and Swiss clock manufactories meant was Eichmüller a new way eigeschlagen and focus on distribution of quartz watches made. Our own production has been dismantled and stored. After almost 25 years and with a renewed upsurge of mechanical watches, the idea was born in the know-how and the technology of once again from the camp to get under a new brand name to revive.
Mr. Oliver Wolf recognized the opportunity and started with Mr. Eichmüller the Riedenschild Ltd. Here is not only the idea for the use of old technology watches in the foreground, but also to connect the latest watch technology, creative design and the development of the young brand Riedenschild. Even the revival of the watchmaking craft in Germany is at the focus of Riedenschild Ltd. For this reason, in August with two watchmaker apprentices set. The Riedenschild watches are characterized by very high quality, high-quality design and materials.
